Update of Changes to Marathon School District Calendar
With the long winter, state basketball, spring snowstorms, and other events, the school district will need to change the school district calendar to make-up the state required educational minutes. The school board and administration have made the following changes to the calendar.
Beginning the week of April 23, 2018 the high school only will begin classes at 7:50 AM. This will add 5 minutes to the school day. We will have this early start for the following three weeks, until May 11, 2018. Again this is to make up for lost time to due late starts and cancelled days.
The May 11, 2018 teacher in-service day will now be a regular school day for MAES/MVA/MHS.
On May 24, 2018 students will be released early so the district can host the Sectional Track Meet. Students at MAES/MVA will be released and busses will pick them up 1:35 PM. Students at the high school will be released at 1:45 with bus pick-up.
June 7, 2018 will be a regular school day for the high school only. Students will have finals on this day and also final checkout at the high school.
