MVA students live the revision process to achieve a high standard of craftsmanship.
Story Behind the Evidence:
The revision process is a staple at MVA; it’s embedded in everything kids do. Craftsmanship at MVA means that students use real models to create quality work through critique, feedback, and revision. By 7th and 8th grade year, students will frequently ask if they can participate in a critique protocol with a peer prior to it being teacher-led. This idea of striving to make work to the highest quality is something that students live in all aspects of our school. These structures and processes are shown in different capacities in our body of evidence. We have highlighted an example of the writing process, product creation, science projects, and the creation of our design principle murals.
